This course caters to young children, aged 4 — 7 years old.

Our Music Appreciation Program is designed to introduce music and musical instruments to young children from the ages of 4 to 7 years old. These classes are taught in groups according to age and music from around the world is used to teach the students about different genres of music and styles while developing, and training their music listening ability. Student will also discover beat, meter, rhythm, tonality, and timbre. Expressive sensitivity will also be introduced through singing, dancing, playing and listening to music.

Curriculum for this Program:

We believe that children should first learn to love music through singing as human sound and experience enriches life. We use different methods and various approaches such as Orff, Kodaly, Suzuki, and Dalcroze. One thing that all these methods have in common is that they teach children not just to be listeners, but encourages them to be creators and producers of music and that learning through singing, play and dancing is a complete and comprehensive approach to musical education.

Students in this Program are required to sit for an audition to move to the Academic Program.

In the Arab Music Department, there are 3 age groups for our Music Appreciation Program:
  • Music Appreciation for 4-5 year old children.
  • Music Appreciation for 5-6 year old children.
  • Music Appreciation for 6-7 year old children.
