Qatar Music Academy Day:
Friday, 7 June 2024
We invite all students, parents, guardians, and friends to join us for a spectacular music concert, which will be held at the PUE Theatre on Friday, 7 June 2024, at 6:30 PM.
This year’s concert, titled 'East Meets West,' is a special event dedicated to showcasing the musicianship and hard work of our leading school ensembles: Senior String Quartet, Western & Arab Percussion Ensembles, Senior Takht, Qatar Senior Youth Choir, Najwa Choir, and Qatar Youth Orchestra. This event will also give us an opportunity to acknowledge students’ achievements, present awards, and announce the scholarship recipients for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Summer Holiday Begins:
Friday, 14 June 2024
Our last teaching day will be Thursday, June 13, 2024. It's a time for relaxation, rejuvenation, and reflection on the fantastic progress made throughout the year. We hope you take this opportunity to unwind and enjoy the summer break. New academic term commences: Saturday, 31 August 2024
Summer Maintenance:
Saturday, 22 June 2024 - Sunday, 18 August 2024
QMA will implement its regular summer maintenance activity plan, which will continue until Sunday, 18 August. Students and parents will not be allowed to access the classrooms, regardless of purpose, for safety and security reasons.
End-of-Year Checklist
As we approach the summer holiday, we kindly remind all students and parents to take care of the following important tasks:
☑ Return Library Books
Please ensure that all borrowed books returned to the academy by the end of the term. This helps us maintain our resources and prepare for the next academic year all borrowed library books and music scores needs to be returned by Thursday, 6 June 2024.

☑ Return Instruments
As the academic year is coming to an end, all students must return their instruments to QMA prior to the end of this term. Instruments should be returned to Room 67 immediately following the last instrumental lesson or ensemble rehearsal.

☑ Discuss Summer Learning Plans
We encourage students to connect with their music teachers to outline their summer learning goals. Continuing practice and learning over the break are vital for preserving and improving musical skills. Teachers can offer valuable advice and resources to support summer practice.
While summer is a time to relax, it's also an excellent opportunity to advance your musical journey. Use this time to explore new pieces, refine techniques, and get ready for the next academic year. Whether through self-study, online lessons, or community music programs, staying engaged with music will ensure you build on the progress made this year.
